Blogger Unite Come Widgets, Come ALL.

It was nice for once to be asked to participate in a new upcoming site/project. Before my HIV took a turn for the hearse I mean worse back in 1999 and was unable to work anymore I had such big plans and ideas of ways to not just blab about my story and illness but to pick up from where I once had left off. I was part of a very small club of individuals say a million or so back in 1994 when I signed up with AOL 2.0. ThomPoz was a beloved handle I cherished and even started doing business on my website built by two very talented young "MAC" men in 1995. Mainstream America hadn't caught up yet but I fell write into it's never ending highway of information, networking, and then of course leave it to the gays to make it or the AOL chat rooms notorious for ordering in sex instead of the usual take out a bunch of friends and hope to score some hot trade. Prior to this I had mastered the early 90's phone sex revolution being exposed to it through my Playgirl Jan of 91 centerfold where I would leave these tongue in cheek sexy messages for all the ladies out there who wanted to know more about me. Well I can tell you this they were no ladies but a bunch of horny girls, queens, speed freaks, you name it I loved it. I got in trouble with playgirl for telling tall tales, or shall we say the TRUTH. Like Dirk Schafer who by coincident was the centerfold for Xmas holiday issue 1990 and I followed. We both grew up in Edmond, Oklahomo and he was 3 years older than I and boy did I have a crush on him. He was the lifeguard at our neighborhoods edition every summer. Yes we did each other a few years later he and I also without knowing it got involved with the same guy. I of course met him after Dirk decided to move to LA to be a STAR, I was still getting my wings and princess status coming out gay at 16. I really liked this guy who Dirk really hurt by leaving but he was no ugly he was hot and coached the OU cheerleaders along with being a teacher. I was very street smart but also very naive. I opened my mouth to the girls on my squad about dating him never once thinking about hurting him or God forbid legal action. I never really found out the full story except bits and pieces one year I came home from LA to OKC for a visit after my splash in Playgirl and basically said the only way I knew how too and that was I am sorry if I caused you all of the drama he went through. He was a first love I guess you could say but he gave me hug and said it wasn't my fault and how proud he was of both Dirk and I. He died a couple years later. I was told it was not from AIDS but from bleeding ulcers he had been dealing with for some time. God bless him, I love you Rex ...
Whew, no where in the hell did this all come from. Back to what I was saying yesterday....My celebrity gave me and my website some great publicity and to this day Google still shows me right up there 1-10 depending on what you are searching for . Thom Collins alone will usually get my website built by my two friends Matt and Mike in 1995, I attempted to redesign it and to say it is HTML ancient would be an understatement. Wanting to invest my time on one of the hundreds of new web-ware 2.0's out there I can't decide. From my huge Barbie collection trying to get into the whole ebay/ showcase dealing side of things is one, the other is getting my courage back being wild and crazy, or sharing my beloved capuchin Rolex with the rest of the world through video and song. But my health gives me a break sometimes and I get rolling and then loose interest because my life is like the boy in the plastic bubble. Can't go out, refused to be in the chair Blanche but it is looming, I am also addicted to video gaming and virtual reality. But I hate the obsession I have no control over when 25 new sites are announced and I am there just registering to keep my name Thom Collins out there. I am going to update my links on my blog for I have collected well over 200 as bookmarks but wish I could understand the whole permalink thing etc. But we will talk soon. If interested here is my original website:
